24 Miler

My last big training run was this past Saturday. 24 miles. A friend from San Mateo came up to run it with me. It was about 65 degrees and raining. In other words, almost perfect. I like running in the rain, as it cools me down. I felt great the entire time and we finished just under 3 hours. I wasn't trying to push it and felt that I definitely have what it takes to go under 3. Two weeks to go time.

Remind me again, 24 is not a full marathon, correct? Doing that in sub three is pretty sweet. Congrat's. Talk to us about how much of a factor the rain and temp was with respect to a conservative weather expectation at St. George. I'd also be interested in your thoughts on preparation steps leading into the event itself. "Cut down on running or increase it"; diet - any changes?; fluid intake - changes?; How will the six week drought factor help or hinder you...

26.2 miles is a marathon. See my following post to answer your other questions, except those related to the drought.
