Iran

The U.S.'s changed stance on Iran since the Russia-Georgia War from Stratfor.

The idea of Bush paving the way and taking the hit from the right by opening relations with Iran before he leaves office slightly increases my respect for the man.

Good article summarizing several points if information familiar to me. I think the Russo-Georgian war has very little to do with Russo-Iranian relations... The defense system in Poland will force Russia back the table and resolve that sore point. Let's not forget that Russia sought to conquer the Middle East. Iran will keep Russia close but guarded and will be quick to fear the Russians more than the US. We, the US, need to be attacked to obliterate them... Russia would just obliterate them without truly thinking twice about it.
